FAMILY DAY by GADIS
The OM26 FAMILY DAY, the special day that O Marisquiño dedicates each year to the youngest, returns with an experience designed to bring action sports and urban culture closer to new generations. Through workshops where they can take their first steps and begin to shine as future stars, participants will enjoy a dynamic and approachable programme.
In this special edition, O Marisquiño, together with the collaboration of Gadis and the support of Montana and Cabreiroá, offers children the opportunity to attend the festival and practice different urban sports and disciplines integrated in the event. The proposal includes a wide variety of free workshops on Skate, Flatland, BMX, Break Dance, Basket 3x3 and Graffiti, which will be held throughout the day on Thursday 6 August. In addition, as a novelty, two rooster (freestyle rap) workshops are incorporated into the usual programme, with the aim of bringing this activity also to minors. To complete the day, there will be concerts in Samil to enjoy as a family, on the La Plaza stage, from 8:00 p.m.
All activities will have professional trainers and monitors, who will guide participants to learn safely, teaching techniques, positions and tricks of each discipline.
The Family Day brings together 26 workshops spread across 7 disciplines, with 320 places available. Driven in collaboration with Gadis, this initiative allows boys and girls aged 5 to 16 to learn and enjoy the festival's activities.
Where
In this edition, the workshops will be held in Navia and Samil:
As in recent editions, the Navia Skate Park will be the chosen venue for the BMX and Skate workshops.
At the Samil seafront promenade, the Break Dance workshops will be held on the skating rink; the Basket 3x3 workshops and tournament, the court will be located between the music stages; the Flatland workshops will continue on the promenade reserved for this discipline; the Graffiti workshops will be located at the back of the Skate grandstand; and the Gallos workshops will be held on the La Plaza stage.
How
All workshops will be held on 6 August, at different times, from 10:00h to 20:30h, and are aimed at different age groups.
- All workshops are free with prior registration through the workshops section of the website.
- Places are limited; once capacity is reached, registrations will be closed.
- Places are reserved through the form available on the website, completing and attaching all the requested information.
- Basket 3x3 will dedicate part of the day to a youth championship. Registration is done through the sport page.
It is necessary that participants come accompanied by the person who signed the registration document. Both must present their identity document (DNI/ID) at the time of the workshop.
If the person who signed cannot attend, it is essential to bring a written authorisation from the person who made the registration. If these requirements are not met, it will not be possible to participate in the event.
We recommend that children bring comfortable clothes. For certain activities it will be necessary to bring specific equipment (bike, skate, helmet, etc.).
