BMX Flatland

WHAT

BMX Flatland has, throughout the history of Marisquiño, been one of the disciplines that has received the most affection from the public thanks to its spectacularity and the good vibes that its riders transmit.

It is one of the most technical and creative BMX disciplines. On a smooth surface with no ramps, riders perform balance tricks, spins, and impossible combinations using only the bike and their control over it.

A discipline that blends sport, style, and creativity, turning each run into a true show on two wheels.

WHERE

At the spectacular Samil beach in Vigo. A spot with unique energy and an incredible beach atmosphere, definitely an experience you can't miss.

Flatland will take place on a track of about 120m2 where the competitors will do their best rounds.

From August 7 to 9, 2026.

Friday

Amateur qualifiers.

Saturday

Amateur finals early afternoon. Then, Pro qualifiers.

Sunday

Pro finals early afternoon.

These schedules may be modified due to force majeure circumstances such as weather conditions.

HOW

The competition is divided into the Amateur and Pro categories, both in a unisex format. In Amateur qualifiers, each rider has a 1 minute and 30 second run, while in the final they have two 1 minute and 30 second runs, with the best of them determining the final ranking.

In Pro, the qualifiers are held in a 3-minute run, while the finals are held in a jam format, with 4 groups of 3 riders. Each participant has two 1-minute runs and a final 30-second run. These battles are not elimination-based, so riders in the same group can place 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the final ranking.
