BMX Flatland has been throughout the history of O Marisquiño one of the disciplines that has received the most interest from the public thanks to its spectacular nature and the good vibes transmitted by its riders. Since 2007, world legends such as Matthias Dandois or Viki Gómez have passed through Vigo —and have been crowned—, and we have seen national references such as Alberto Moya or Varo Hernández grow. In 2023, they will not miss their appointment, with important changes and a luxury poster.
The new location is the big news for this OM23. The BMX Flatland expanded its space in the 2022 edition on Paseo de As Avenidas and in 2023 it will move, together with the other main disciplines, to the spectacular beach of Samil in Vigo. This will be a comfortable space and an unbeatable setting with spectacular views.
What could be better than enjoying the most technical and original BMX discipline? Enjoying it on the beach. The competitions will have Pro and Amateur categories to enjoy all levels and with -once again- international riders from all over the Globe. From national riders like Varo Hernández and Alberto Moya to world champions like Matthias Dandois or the legend and silver medalist in the last X Games, Alex Jumelin. All of them will fight in a Jam contest whilst showing their best tricks on the bike to the rhythm of the music to win more than €4,000 in prizes.
August 11th-13th, 2023. On Friday the Amateur qualifier will take place, which will have its final on Saturday in the early afternoon. Then will come the Pro qualifiers, which final will be early in the afternoon on Sunday.
