BASKET 3X3
WHAT
In 2026, Basket 3x3 celebrates its seventh edition at Marisquiño, established as one of the most spectacular and fastest-growing disciplines in modern basketball. Officially recognized by FIBA and present in the Olympic Games, 3x3 pits two teams of three players against each other on a single basket, delivering fast, intense, and action-packed play.
The competition will feature the Women’s Senior 3x3 and the Men’s Senior Lite Quest FIBA 3x3, as well as the Junior 3x3 Tournament, an opportunity for younger players to also be part of the Marisquiño experience and get closer to this rapidly growing format.
WHERE
Basketball will be located on Samil Beach, alongside its sister categories so that the public can fill the freely accessible stands and the surroundings of the court. The musical touch will come from the resident DJ of the 3x3 category, Dj Jas, who will delight us with a variety of Hip Hop, Amapiano, Latin music, and the finest Funk at every moment.

These schedules may be modified due to force majeure circumstances.
HOW
Official FIBA rules. Simple and designed to make 3x3 a frantic, spectacular and exciting game. Matches last 10 minutes. Each basket is worth 1 point, and 2 points from beyond the arc. The first team to reach 21 points wins. If the 10 minutes pass without either team reaching that mark, the team with the most points wins. In the event of a tie, there is a one-minute break and overtime until one team manages to score two points.
In the men’s category, 12 teams compete and in the women’s category, 8. In both cases there is a preliminary group stage and a single-elimination final stage until only the tournament winner remains.
In the Junior Tournament on Thursday, there will be 4 teams in each of the 4 categories (youth and cadet, male and female).
