WHAT
Marisquiño hosts the Adaptive Skateboarding Championship for the third year, an experience that since its beginnings in 2024 was an exciting challenge and a complete success. This time it returns stronger with new features that will raise the level: new formats, international riders, and the same energy that breaks barriers. Talent, overcoming challenges, and inspiration on the board.
This initiative is made possible thanks to the collaboration with the Fundación BIMBA Y LOLA, an organization committed to inclusion and positive impact through art, culture, and sport. The foundation renews its collaboration with Marisquiño to continue promoting adaptive sports and foster more diverse and accessible spaces.
PRIZES
All riders, both invited and from the open, will compete for the same cash prizes as the male and female riders of the World Cup Skateboarding, in a clear commitment to equity, visibility, and recognition of talent without barriers.
SKATEPARK
Marisquiño presents a skatepark that, beyond the new big section, is designed so that all its modules are inclusive and can be enjoyed regardless of level and/or particular conditions.
Additionally, in the center, next to the logo and the pyramid, a free area has been left to avoid collisions and incorporate a special box to offer a greater spectacle (and enjoyment) in Skate Adaptive. All this in a location that offers greater comfort for the public and riders, while also allowing the spectacular natural surroundings of Samil Beach and the Cíes Islands to be showcased to the world.
HOW
Together with Marcelo Lusardi, we have found a formula that works: a championship format designed for riders, creative, with rhythm, intensity, and moments of maximum focus. A unique space that at times becomes silent and almost intimate, and at others bursts with excitement and euphoria.
Over three days, the world's best skaters in this discipline have the perfect stage to develop their skateboarding with comfort and freedom. Building on this solid foundation, the Adaptive Skateboarding Championship continues to grow, and this year takes a step further with an Open format, opening the door to new participants and the creation of a future international ranking.
