Adaptive Skateboarding Participation Rules
The championship is Open, so anyone interested can apply to participate. Once registered, the application will be evaluated by the organizing committee, which will determine admission based on the criteria established for the competition. The decision will be communicated to the interested party in due course.
1. Eligibility
The competition is open to anyone who knows how to skate, regardless of age, provided they meet the following criteria:
- They must comply with the rules described herein.
- Have minimum knowledge and skills to participate in this type of competition.
- Hold a disability certificate issued by an official administration.
- Persons under 18 years of age must have parental or guardian consent to participate.
2. Registration guidelines
- All persons interested in participating must register in advance for the championship.
- All persons must complete the registration process.
- All persons must provide the required contact and sports information in the registration forms and sign a liability waiver before participating in the competition.
3. Categories and format
The competition will be held from August 7 to 9, 2026 and will consist of the following phases:
Friday: An initial contact with the skatepark will take place through a jam session. Participants will be divided into groups of five (5) riders, with each group having twenty-five (25) minutes of practice. This session will allow riders to familiarize themselves with the circuit, define their lines and prepare the rounds they will develop during the competition.
Saturday and Sunday: The competition will be structured in two heats of five (5) riders each. Prior to each heat, a warm up session of approximately fifteen (15) minutes will be held. Then, each rider will perform two rounds of one (1) minute, counting only the best score obtained. Subsequently, a jam session of two (2) minutes will be held, with two (2) riders participating simultaneously, favoring a more open and dynamic format.
The scores obtained during Saturday and Sunday will determine the ranking for the 2026 season.
4. Evaluation
The competition will be judged based on the following criteria:
- Skill and technique
- Creativity and originality
- Overall performance and impact
5. Prizes
Prizes for the competition will be specified by the event organisers.
6. Disqualification
Persons who violate the participation or registration guidelines may be disqualified from the competition at the discretion of the championship organisers.
7. Changes
The event organisers reserve the right to modify the competition rules or cancel the competition at any time, due to unforeseen circumstances or adverse weather conditions.
8. Liability
By participating in the competition, persons agree to release from liability the event organisers for any damage, loss, claims or expenses.
9. Use of images and recordings
The event organisers will have the right to use images and recordings of participants during the competition for promotional and advertising purposes, including on social media, websites and other marketing materials. Participants agree to grant these rights without additional remuneration.
10. Inappropriate conduct
Participants must behave appropriately and respectfully at all times during the competition. Any behaviour considered inappropriate, hostile, threatening, violent, discriminatory, racist, xenophobic, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, or hateful towards a person or group, or any other conduct that may be considered as such by the event organisers, will not be tolerated. The event organisers reserve the right to disqualify any participant who fails to comply with these rules and take any other action they deem appropriate.
11. Acceptance of rules
Participation in the competition implies full and unreserved acceptance of these rules. The event organisers reserve the right to make any decision they deem necessary to guarantee the integrity of the competition and compliance with these rules, without any liability towards the participants.
12. Changes to the competition rules
The event organisers reserve the right to change or modify these rules at any time. Changes will be published on the competition website or through other available communication channels.
13. Communication with participants
The event organisers will communicate with participants through the email provided during registration and on the event website. It is the responsibility of participants to keep their contact information up to date and regularly check their email.
14. Conflict resolution
Any conflict or dispute related to the competition will be resolved by the event organisers, whose decisions will be final and irrevocable.
15. Spectator behaviour
The public attending the competition must respect the participants, stay in designated areas and follow all instructions given by the event organisers.
16. Cancellation of the competition
In the event of cancellation of the competition due to force majeure, the organisers will not be responsible for any loss or damage suffered by participants or the public.
17. Publication of results
The results of the competition will be published on the official event website and on the event organisers' social media.
