Today's programme: Family Day, welcome family concert, Skate and BMX

Marisquiño 2026 is already underway. The XXVI edition kicks off this Thursday with an intense day dedicated to the new generations, the first training sessions, and the start of the competition on Samil beach.

The Family Day by Gadis returns to open the festival with 26 free workshops held between Samil and Navia. The 320 available places have been filled, allowing boys and girls to get started in disciplines such as skate, BMX, flatland, breaking, basket 3x3, graffiti and, new this year, freestyle rap.

Meanwhile, the Samil tracks are already welcoming riders from the different disciplines. Since early morning, Skate and BMX training sessions have been taking place, and in the afternoon they will be joined by the first Skate Street pre-qualifiers, which will mark the official start of the competition at Marisquiño 2026.

The sporting program is completed with the junior Basket 3x3 tournament, which will run throughout the day, and with the training sessions for adapted BMX and the different Park and Street categories.

Music also begins this Thursday. At 8:00 p.m., the La Plaza stage will host a free concert by the Monk Blues Band, a performance aimed especially at families that will serve as the official welcome to four days of action sports, music, and urban culture.
