Champions, international talent and top-level basketball at Marisquiño 3x3
The Basket 3x3 returns to Marisquiño with a top-level edition that will bring together on Samil beach some of the most outstanding teams on the national and international scene. From August 7 to 9, the competition will once again be part of the official FIBA 3x3 LiteQuest circuit, with a spot in the Phoenix Challenger (U.S.) at stake for the men's champion.
Among the main favorites is Pando Mataró, reigning Pro Circuit champion and one of the teams with the most points in the tournament. In their ranks stand out Jaume Zanca, world champion last year, and Nil Brià, one of the best Spanish specialists in the discipline. Ibiza 3x3 will also be there, led by Nacho Martín, as well as American Royce, who arrives with Serbian Nikola, one of the players to watch in this edition.
Galician representation will once again play a leading role with teams such as CB Vigo, Cangas or Six Seven, while clubs like 3G Valladolid, B-Ball Center or Nomad Ball will compete in both the men's and women's categories. Among the women, the presence of PBL Las Rozas 3x3, reigning Pro Circuit champion, stands out, as well as Vulcano 3x3, coming from the Canary Islands.
One of the most anticipated matchups will come very soon. On Friday at 5:00 p.m., Pando Mataró will face Ibiza 3x3 in a group-stage duel that could well be a semifinal or an early final. Not to overlook the rest, who are coming for it all. The results can be followed live on the FIBA 3x3 website.
The Junior tournament grows
But the activity will begin even earlier. On Thursday the 6th, as part of the Family Day by Gadis, the Junior 3x3 tournament will take place, with 28 games between the boys’ and girls’ child and cadet categories, bringing together young players aged between 13 and 16 throughout the day.
With a top-level lineup, international presence, and a spot in the Phoenix Challenger on the line, Basket 3x3 will once again make Marisquiño one of the great summer events for this discipline.
