Richard Moore has rapid-onset retinitis pigmentosa and has lost 95 percent of his vision. Despite his diagnosis in 2018, he has become a recognized skater in the industry. "I had to relearn how to walk with a cane, so adapting it to skateboarding has been really difficult, but the cracks in the cement send vibrations through the skateboard to indicate my location. Two quick taps of his cane show him the position and height of what is in front of him. Everything else is instinct, courage, and patience.” Amidst these obstacles, skateboarding had been an intrinsic part of Richard's life since the late 90s. His experience in graphic design along with his passion for skateboarding and BMX had significantly influenced his identity, from his choice of clothing to his taste in music. At 34 years old, he has also created an inclusive clothing brand.
