Marisquiño 2026 dates: August 6–9 in Vigo
Vigo will once again become the international capital of action sports and urban culture this summer.Marisquiño will celebrate its XXVI edition from August 6 to 9, consolidating the format that has brought together thousands of riders and fans from all over the world in recent years.
After the historic 25th-anniversary edition, the event maintains its structure with Samil beach as the epicenter and the urban MTB descent in the historic center of the city. Over four days, 1,500 athletes from more than 30 countries, along with about 60 artists, will participate in a program that will again combine sports, music, and urban culture.
The festival will feature eight sports disciplines —Skate, BMX, Breaking, 3x3 Basketball, Flatland, Big Air, FMX, and MTB— and will continue to host competitions that award points for World Cup Skateboarding and the FIBA 3x3 circuit. In addition, the adapted Skate and BMX events will be reinforced, highlighting the festival's commitment to inclusion.
In addition to the competition, the cultural programming will once again play a key role with concerts, DJ sessions, urban art, and freestyle rap battles across various stages. Meanwhile, Thursday will be dedicated to Family Day, with activities designed to bring the festival's disciplines closer to the younger audience.
Marisquiño x Kike Besada
The 2026 edition will also feature a new visual identity created by the Vigo designer Kike Besada, exploring the connection between urban culture, territory, and tradition, integrating action sports, summer, and the Atlantic landscape into a single visual universe.
The campaign presents a family of hybrid characters where the festival's disciplines blend with the artisanal knowledge of Galicia. Sport, music, and art coexist with symbols of popular culture, creating a visual language that connects roots and contemporaneity.
We leave you with a small sample and invite you to follow us on social media and our website to discover all its versions and the news about the festival, which we will communicate over the coming months.
