Beauty returns to Vigo: special screening of the documentary filmed at Marisquiño
After its festival run and after winning three international awards, Beauty returns to Vigo with a special screening ahead of the start of Marisquiño 2026.
On Wednesday, August 5, the Auditorio Municipal do Concello de Vigo will host the free screening of the documentary short film, shot during the festival’s last edition and focused on Adaptive Skate and BMX, two disciplines that are part of Marisquiño’s official program thanks to the support of the Fundación Bimba y Lola.
The session will begin at 7:30 p.m. with an institutional opening, the talk "Difference makes the difference", led by Andrea De Beni, and a roundtable with the protagonists and members of the film crew after the screening.
Far from traditional narratives about disability, Beauty presents adaptive sports from the perspective of community, creativity, and the shared passion for skateboarding and BMX. Shot during Marisquiño 2025, the short film brings together riders from different countries and has begun a successful run at national and international festivals this year.
In addition, taking advantage of its return to Vigo, the team will shoot the first scenes of the future feature-length documentary during Marisquiño 2026. Among them will be a new version of "The Descent", one of the project’s most recognizable sequences, as well as coverage of the Adaptive Skate and Adaptive BMX riders who will compete at Samil.
